DALI OBERON 3

OBERON 3 brings the best of both worlds. The size of the speaker box provides an optimal balance between internal volume optimized for low tones and a compact cabinet design suitable for smaller rooms, discreet audio setups or wall mounting.
Combining the big sound of freestanding speakers with compact bookshelf speakers, the OBERON 3 is a perfect fit for any solution, both for bookshelf and stand.

With the launch of the DALI OBERON speaker series, we have selected the best elements from our current speakers and combined them into a series that delivers sound quality, looks and versatility. The ultra-lightweight 29mm soft tweeter seamlessly integrates with the 7-inch SMC-based wood fiber woofer for impressive highs, detailed and crisp mids, and surprisingly coherent and well-timed bass.

OBERON 3 is easy to integrate into any room. Both the driver material and the geometry applied in the OBERON 3 were chosen to achieve a wide sound dispersion. The same principles were applied in the design of the switch.

As a result, you'll experience well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle from the ideal listening point. This is important because you rarely sit directly in front of the speakers when listening to music. An additional benefit is the severely reduced harmonic distortion and diffraction causing frequency distortions, as these will always be stronger in the on-axis response.

The OBERON 3 features the same 7" low-loss woofer used in the OBERON 7. It is optimized with a new wood fiber structured diaphragm dedicated to the reproduction of sensitive midrange and bass frequency ranges. Made from a mixture of fine-grained paper pulp reinforced with wood fibers, the woofer creates a rigid but and in combination with low-loss surround and spider suspension, the OBERON 3 woofer reproduces the smallest details in the signal, unfiltered and with high precision.

PREDIMENSIONED SOFT DOME
A combination of proven technologies with new features
The oversized ultra-light 29mm soft dome tweeter has been specially developed for the OBERON series, combining well-proven technologies from our existing DALI ranges with new features. The large diaphragm size allows the tweeter to produce higher sound pressure with less deviation, keeping voice coil movement to a controlled minimum. The front panel of the tweeter near the dome is designed with a similar geometry to the OPTICON and RUBICON tweeters to create optimal operating conditions for the soft dome. This results in an extended frequency response, wide dispersion and low coloration.
